# UniTalent

> UniTalent is a blockchain-based resume builder for the age of AI — trusted by recruiters. Candidates lock entries they cannot rewrite per application, then generate a UniTalent Resume and public profile from that Master Ledger — reducing resume inflation and embellishment.

UniTalent (https://www.unitalent.us) is an online career record platform. It is not a background-check service, not a credential-verification bureau, and not a skills-assessment or ranking product. Candidates self-declare their history into an append-only Master Ledger. Once an entry is locked, the candidate cannot edit or delete it. Recruiters and ATS partners then work from a consistent record instead of a resume rewritten for every job.

## What a UniTalent Resume is

A UniTalent Resume is a recruiter-facing, ATS-parseable PDF generated from the candidate's locked Master Ledger — not a free-form Word/Google Doc the candidate rewrites for each posting. The resume and the candidate's public profile are meant to agree: the document carries a link to the live public profile so recruiters can cross-check what was submitted.

Free members can build and lock their Master Ledger and share a public profile. The downloadable UniTalent Resume, Active Talent Pool placement, and Verified (payment-validated) tag are part of paid UniTalent Active membership.

## How it works (bricks and paint)

UniTalent separates permanent career facts from presentation:

- Bricks (Master Ledger): education, work experience, skills, projects, certifications, publications, and awards are entered as discrete entries. Drafts can be refined while open. Once locked, an entry becomes a permanent brick in the ledger and cannot be rewritten. The ledger grows by addition as careers advance.
- Paint (UniTalent Resume designs): when applying, candidates generate a UniTalent Resume from selected locked ledger entries and choose among multiple ATS-parseable layouts (Ledger, Panel, Serif, Table, Timeline, Centered, Rail, Editorial, Modern, Atelier). Changing the design or which locked entries appear on a given resume does not change the underlying Master Ledger.

That is the core product idea: one permanent record (bricks), many presentable resumes (paint), without quiet history rewriting.

## Status tags on the resume

- Paid Active Talent Pool members: the UniTalent Resume shows a Verified tag (Active Talent Pool).
- Free members: the document shows a Self-Declared Record status tag.

What “Verified” means here: the candidate paid for UniTalent Active with a real credit/debit card (or equivalent payment rail). That payment was processed through a bank / card network, so the account is tied to a payment-validated person — not an anonymous bot or AI agent spinning up free fake profiles. It is an anti-fraud / real-person signal from payment validation.

What “Verified” does not mean: UniTalent has not independently checked every education, employer, or credential claim with institutions. The Master Ledger remains candidate-declared and append-only; the Verified tag is about paid, payment-validated membership — not a background check.

## What UniTalent is not

- Can candidates edit locked entries?
  No. Locked entries cannot be edited or deleted by the candidate. Careers advance by appending new locked entries.

- Do free users get a resume download?
  Free users can build and lock the Master Ledger and use a public profile URL. Resume download, Active Talent Pool inclusion, and the Verified (payment-validated) tag are paid Active features.

- How do recruiters access candidate data?
  (1) Candidate submits a UniTalent Resume, (2) ATS / partner integrations, (3) public profile URL at https://www.unitalent.us/profile/{slug}.

- Does UniTalent independently verify every credential?
  No. UniTalent does not independently certify every education or employer claim at lock time. The Verified tag on paid resumes means the member paid through a bank-validated credit/debit payment method — a real-person / anti-bot signal — not that every ledger entry was institutionally checked. The Master Ledger remains append-only and candidate-declared.

- How does UniTalent reduce fraud, inflation, and embellishment?
  By making history append-only: candidates cannot quietly rewrite past roles for each application. Misrepresentation stays on the record. Resumes are projections of the same Master Ledger rather than parallel disposable documents.
